New Tamika Review by Kee: The new reviews are correct. Janet Collection has changed Tamika. I waited for months for this to come back instock and was very disappointed that the real Tamkia is gone forever. The new Tamika is very thin like relaxed hair. I hope they come back with the real Tamika one day. Don't buy if your looking for that thick yaki style. The new style comes in a purple box. Janet Collection Tamika Not Good! Review by Zsa: Janet Collection Tamika is not what I expected. In the profile picture the wig looks very full and thick. Not the Tamika pictured here. Review by Beanie: I bought this wig a couple of years ago and was lovin it. I mean LOVIN it. The wig looked just like the model's. Nice and thick and hardly any shedding. The wig I received this time was nothing like the one I had in the past. I lost that wig in my last move and thought I would just reorder a new one and have it for the winter. Boy was I wrong. This wigs hair is so much thinner and doesn't have the thickness or fullness that it had before. I am very dissapointed because the thickness is what made the wig look natural. Now it's thin and long and sheds like crazy. I would have returned it but I had to cut the lace to try and see the fit and the consistancy of the hair. You can't always tell from the box. I even ordered it from another seller and received the same thing a thin stringy looking wig and for goodness sake don't sweat, you will be picking hair out of you eyes, mouth and shirt all day. I will not order any Janet hair again. I am wishing the quality of the product never changed as it was a great wig before. (Posted on 11/2/11)
Now Very thin & silky straight ...yuk Review by Kim: I just received my order of 3 tamika wigs. I was so excited to see it back in stock I ordered that many. When I opened the packaging I was shocked and disappointed to see Janet Collection has changed Tamika. It is no longer a thick full yaki textured synthetic wig which is why I believe most of us loved it. It is now a very thin and silky straight wig, it is not full at all. If you like thin silky straight wigs it will work for you but if you are used to the old Tamika that was full, thick and had an African American hair type you definitely will NOT want this. glad I still have old Tamika from before this change. Packaging has been changed, they come in nice purple boxes now which is nice but doesn't make up for Tamika being ruined. My problem is not with blackhairspray.com it's with Janet Collection. It still looks natural. I wasn't to thrilled after applying right out of the package but after I played with it I started to love it. Good for a first wig Review by Ashley May: This was my first wig ever after years of straight weaves and a few months of being natural, and now I'm hooked. It does shed, but no more than natural hair-and truthfully I think the light shedding makes it seem more like real hair! The cap does seem kind of tight, but I just twisted my hair underneath and didn't put it in corn-rows so that's probably why. The hair is beautiful and full, and it was easy to cut off the extra lace. I'm a complete newbie to wigs and this was easy to learn how to wear. The only con is that it tangles easily and you'll probably need to carry a brush with you to keep it looking fierce. It also doesn't take to many products well. I used a little olive oil spray on it and it got REALLY thick in an area, but I have been able to use my curling iron on it (on low settings) to do touch-ups. I would definitely recommend this wig, especially if you want to have a natural looking transition into wigs that are longer, curlier, or more glam. (Posted on 12/4/10)

My Review by Tiffany the Tress Tester: First off, very natural-looking - Not sure what others are referring to when mentioning this wig is "too full." Maybe it's because I'm a big fan of Beyonce-like (BIG) hairstyles, however I feel it could be even a little fuller! I'm thinking that if you're used to silky-straight or what I like to call "Barbie" hair and not "yaki" or coarser/fuller hair, then this wig isn't for you. But, if your purpose is to wear a wig to appear as your naturally relaxed-looking hair, then yes! This is the wig for you! One con is I think the wig should also come with a comb in the very middle part of the front of the wig, but like many wigs I've worn, it simply has the side 2 combs and the 1 comb in the back - the front middle comb would serve to set the front hairline exactly where you want it to be a just a little better; especially if you have a smaller sized shape of a head. Love this wig!! Review by Charismalia: Tamika is a great wig! She's soft and thick. She sits well on my hairline. She hasn't shed very much at all. The only complaint my husband had was she didnt seem that natural because of the clean line across the forehead at the hairline.
